Structural Monitoring Systems is engaged in the development and commercialization of its CVM™ sensor technology. Our sensors are designed as a replacement to existing non-destructive inspection (NDI) techniques to streamline identifying and/or monitoring cracks in metal structures, and can be operated as an “early warning system”.
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
CVM™ offers a novel method for in-situ, monitoring of crack initiation and/or propagation. CVM™ is a measure of the differential pressure between fine galleries containing a low vacuum alternating with galleries at atmosphere in a simple manifold.
AEM CORP
In 2012 SMS formed a strategic relationship with North American based aerospace manufacturer, Anodyne Electronic Manufacturing Corporation (AEM) who are now the manufacturer of SMS products and systems. In 2017, Structural Monitoring Systems bought AEM.
